Subject:      SAS-related internship (US-company).

Dear sas-list(eners) :

I have a (female) student who is very active, has worked at HOECHST AG and in Paris at ROUSSEL-UCLAF with SAS, is fit in SAS-macro programming, knows a number of SAS - procedures. She's (very) good in Statistics and also in Mathematics of Finance (Bond Analysis, etc) . She is looking for an US-American company (Insurance, Bank, Fin. services etc preferred) where she could work on an internship and also do her diploma thesis project . We have a very applied orientation : some mathematics, OR, etc plus SAS-development would be acceptible, provided it could be delimited (to her part) and might be documented (as thesis). Details had to be discussed. She would also start an internship with the possibility of her diploma-project still open.

She would work for some nominal fee covering her basic living.

Getting in contact with the right people seems harder than we thought.

Do you have any contacts, that are worth trying or any suggestions ?

Name, position and e-mail address preferred .

Looking forward to your response .

Since it is a bit SAS-related I hope not to annoy people on sas-l too much - for the rest I do apologize.

Werner E. HELM (Prof. Statistics & OR, Dept. MN, FH D, Darmstadt, Germany)
