Howdy,
Well, I pity the organization whose information systems are based
completely on Windows 95. I'll admit that Windows NT is a viable
platform if you have the RAM, but how many people actually have
NT on their desktops? As I recall, OS/2 has still far outsold NT
to date.
I don't doubt that there are a lot of us OS/2 users who are
moving to SAS because of this mindless chase after the Windows
crowd. If SPSS had a multithreaded Presentation Manager version
of the program working four years ago, how hard could it have
been to go on? Surely there is enough of an OS/2 user base right
now to make it profitable to resurrect a version for us.
Just my $.02, sorry if you've heard it all before...
