Subject:   invisible data

Sometimes after entering data in spss 7.0 I run a procedure and the data disappears from the data file (all boxes show a dot). I can still run all the procedures and everything still works, but I can no longer see the raw data. It has happened before, but just as mysteriously as it disappears, it has reappeared. But I now have one data set that is still blank, even after saving and retrieving it a couple of times. Like I said, the data are still there (somewhere) because all commands work and all menus show the variables. Any suggestions. --------------------------------------------------------------- Joe E.
