I have recently upgraded to SPSS 7.0 from SPSS 6.1.2 I am on Win 95 and I
need my output files to be ASCII text. I know I can cut and paste each
individual item into other applications such as word, but I need to do the
entire file at one time.
I used to use the SPSS translator in 6.1.2 however, I know that this does
not exist in 7.0. I am wondering if anyone has figured out a way to
translate an entire output file from SPSS 7.0 into another application.
I would appreciate any help anyone can give me on this matter.
I have one other problem with 7.0. I used to use a syntax command in 6.1.2
of SET HIGHRES = OFF. This turned off the chart carousel and put the bar
graphs created in the frequency command in a text format in my output. If I
try this command in 7.0 it just doesn't create a bar chart at all. Please
let me know if anyone knows of a way to turn off the high resolution charts
in the frequencies but still get them to print in the output.
Thanks in advance. I look forward to hearing from anyone regarding these
