Subject: NT and SILO

Hello,

I am looking for any insights anyone might have on using SAS on network servers to operate in a SILO (Single Image Login) capacity.

In 16-bit Windows 3.1, we had used an in-house domain access executable, which passed encrypted values from application to application; however, this will not operate under NT. Has anyone used SAS to operate on network servers to update not only network passwords but also Sybase passwords? Any experience with this would be most appreciated. (Please forgive the incomplete comprehension of SILO as I am trying to help our NT project manager.)

I will post a summary of results for the listserv.

Thanks in advance, Dan Janovjak
