Does debug indicate the correct program flow?

You're probably right, the simplest way to test for correct flow would be to hive the linked sections into method blocks in another entry, that way you could run with debug on to test where the flow is going.

I have never heard of that kind of instability with datalistc, although I have seen problems in getting the datalistc to show the correct number of variables.
