There's at least one on-line tutorial in Version 6.11.
SAS/ASSIST is also a powerful teaching tool, as it writes
code for you, allowing you to compare your point-
and-click selections to the effect they have.
There are also Books By Users, such as DiIorio, Jaffe,
What does this novice need to know? Programming? Procs?
Statistics? SAS is pretty big.
