DUTIES: Provide primary technical support for SPSS on various platforms; teach classes on the use of SPSS for both data base management and statistical analysis; provide general statistical consultation and basic assistance in other software packages, including SAS, SYSTAT, and S-PLUS.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Substantial experience using SPSS; familiarity with relevant operating systems (i.e., Windows, Unix, and Macintosh); experience with the analysis of social science data; experience with teaching computing and/or statistics; experience as a statistical consultant; experience in moving data between platforms (Unix, Windows, Macintosh).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: MS in statistics or biostatistics or an MS in a social science with substantial classwork in quantitative methodology; substantial experience using SPSS and some familiarity with other programs (i.e., SAS, SYSTAT, and S-PLUS.
