Subject:   OTHER STAT PACS

I'm doing social work research and I'm half wondering if some of the other stat pacs I've seen around are any "better" than spss. I have in mind Statistica, Stat View, and another one I can't remember at the moment. I've got no gripes with SPSS, but some of these other pacs seem to be promising (?) a more intuitive interface. Does anybody have a read on this? I work in the mac environment, and maybe that's why I'm half thinking of these other stat pacs. Anyway, though the SPSS is plenty graphic, I still find some of the commands a little clunkish.
