Subject: SAS Libanmes on NT Server
Has anyone tried successfully to use libnames containing NT share names
under SAS/Connect between 2 NT machines?
Our problem is this:
* Under SAS 6.11 on our NT Server, a 'share-name-based' libname
works when referencing
a server machine attached drive.
eg: Libname XYZ '\\SERVER-NAME\DRIVE-1\DIR_1';
* Other NT machines on the network can use the IDENTICAL statement ;
* When this statement is submitted via SAS/CONNECT to the NT
machine, the following messages appear:
"INVALID LIBNAME XYZ"
"Error in the LIBNAME or FILENAME statement."
What does it take for SAS 6.11 on an NT Server to be able to use the Share
Name under SAS/Connect?
