Subject: FW: VIRUS WARNIG-STOP WRITING!
Jochen, not sending virus warnings is the wrong solution to hoaxes like
the Good Time virus. The lesson to be learned is that we must all be
aware of the SOURCE of information that we receive or propagate. The
Internet is a wonderful tool that facilitates the sharing of
information. However, like any other communication medium, it can be
used (overtly or inadvertently) to spread unfounded rumors and out right
lies. So, in the future, we must all exercise care that we trust the
source before we post information.
BTW, I am guilty of not knowing the source when I forwarded a similar
message on my companies internal e-mail system about a month ago. It's
SOOOO easy to try to do the right thing...
