Subject: Re: OS/2 and ODBC and MS/Access and SAS 6.11 for OS/2
Holger,
I dont work on OS/2 so have to qualify this answer. SAS Inst.'s answer
seems logical since the SAS/ACCESS for ODBC driver needs to start a SAS
session before you can get the data, unlike most other ODBC drivers.
Therefore, since you have SAS for OS/2, the SAS ODBC driver for Windows
would have a problem opening up SAS on OS/2. You need the SAS ODBC driver
for OS/2.
Where MS-Access runs is of less importance. Where it gets the data is.

Subject: OS/2 and ODBC and MS/Access and SAS 6.11 for OS/2
Hi SASlers!
Has anyone experience with ODBC between SAS/6.11 for OS/2 and Microsoft
Access under Win/OS2? I tried the normal way, but had no success. At the
SAS-Hotline they told me, that I need the MS Access ODBC-Driver for OS/2,
but
I'm still wondering how this could work, because MS/access doesn't run
under OS/2. It runs under Win/OS2.
Any hints?
Thanks in advance
