Subject: Unhandled Exception Error
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Hello,

I'm having a problem with SPSS v6.1.3 on a Novell 3.12 network. Some users are receiving a "Win32s.exe SPSSWIN..EXE Unhandled Exception Detected" when trying to start SPSS on the Lan. I traced the problem down to the DVP program of F-Prot ver 2.24. If I delete the device=c:\f-prot\f-protw.exe line in the system.ini, everything works fine, except there is no TSR wathcing windows for a virus. I've reconfigured those users experiencing that problem to use F-Prot ver 2.22 (which they use to use before) and removed all references in system.ini, win.ini, f-prot.ini and f-prot.cfg to ver 2.24, but the same error message appears when users try to use SPSS with the DVP setting in f-prot enabled.

Does anyone have any suggestion on a situtation like this?

Mike
