Subject:      bug (?) in 3prty patch for 7.0

I had downloaded a previous patch, so was surprised to see dialog box
warning users downloading SPSS 7.0's 3prty patch that it might contain
a virus and to download it to a disk (this latter option seems contrary to
the official SPSS instructions re procedure on downloading this patch).
I followed the patch and executed it per the instructions, but the patch
has disappeared from my SPSS directory (is there some file I'm not
noticing that indicates the 3prty patch?);  and there is no sign of any
SPSS 7.0 accessiblity to 3rd party programs (as promised in the info
accompanying the patch).
