Subject: Re: Setting axes parameters on charts
Comments: To: Klaudia Erhardt <erhardtk@FUB46.ZEDAT.FU-BERLIN.DE>

I believe Jim might have been hoping that he could set axis values to be applied to a number of charts, thus defining a common range prior to creating them. The method Klaudia describes nicely here (as well as the Chart...Axis options in the SPSS chart editor) will operate on a chart once it is created, but this information can't really be applied to potential charts. Unlike line styles, shading, fill patterns, etc., the value range on a chart axis is data-specific, and is thus not among the bits of information that are saved in chart templates. Jim, it seems, will need to edit the range on each chart individually to make them as uniform as the observed ranges will allow.
