ADVANTA Corp., a leading credit card issuers in the country has an opening for a SAS programmer near Philadelphia.

Responsible for all technical issues relating to development and implementation of the account-level portfolio management system, including: - Technical design of system to meet portfolio management needs. - Programming of additional modules and modifications to the system. - Work in partnership with business managers to determine functional requirements for account management system. - Work with Information Resources and Technology department to implement the system. - Provide support for system users. - Develop recommendations for additional hardware to support the system.

The ideal candidate would have some experience in the financial services industry and at least 3 years experience with SAS (ad-hoc reporting and programming) and 2 yrs with AF/Frame and SCL applications development. Experience with large datasets in Windows NT or UNIX preferred. The candidate should also have a basic understanding of economic cash flow modeling and exposure to probability theory and statistical modeling, as well as a demonstrated ability to understand business issues and develop creative s olutions.
