Subject: Re: Times DFHRPL re-opened

Larry,

DFHRPL will be closed and opened again whenever a new version of a module has gone into a new secondary extent. In version 3 CICS reported an I/O error in this case, in Version 4 CICS will close DFHRPL, reopen it to create a new Data Extent Block, and will access the new version now.

As far as I know there is no CICS transaction to achieve this - why would you want to do something like that in the first place?

Regards

Volker Bandke
