Subject: access speed perm vs. temp SAS files
Its seems to me that while running SAS 6.11 under Win3.11 that permanent SAS
files saved on my C: drive are accessed slower than temporary files also on
my C: drive.
Can someone tell me:
(a) are work files accessed faster?,
(b) what, if any, are the differences between work and permanent files?
Thanks for sharing your knowledge, David.
