Subject: Re: Literature on Applied Multiple Regression Analysis?
Certainly to understand what you are doing you will eventually need to
get through at least Cohen and Cohen. If you are looking for a somewhat
easier place to start before you read things like Cohen and Cohen, you might
try:
Kerlinger, F. (1986). Foundations of behavioral research. NY: Holt,
Rinehart and Winston.
Wampold, BE & Freund, RD. (1987). Use of multiple regression in
counseling psychology: A flexible data analytic strategy. Journal of
Counseling Psychology, 34, 372-382.
My recollection is that the latest bunch of SPSS for Windows manuals do a
pretty good job of laying out 'how to do it.'
