I did get a private reply from someone at SPSS that stated there are no current plans for updating SPSS for the Mac because of technical problems of porting from one platform to the other without rewriting from the ground-up. It's a shame because SPSS was one of the first Mac stats programming packages on the market, but it has not kept up with the other platforms. And with half the world convinced that Apple is going under (which it's NOT!!!) I can bet that it's a tough sell to the suits to invest the money to upgrade. Maybe we can get Steve Jobs and Bill Gates to give the higher-ups at SPSS a pep-talk.
