Necia,

You might advise the user to shut down all non-essential applications, run LICRENEW.EXE from the SPSS directory, and enter the code once again when prompted for it (with the proper spaces, etc.). This route often averts the "there appears to be a license..." message, even when the code appears to have been accepted when entered during the SETUP.EXE installation program.
