James Young 12/09/97 08:14 AM Thanks to all those that responded. Warren Lewis and Tom Abernathy hit the nail right on the head - the session fonts chosen through the View/Change Font... menus are stored in the SASUSER.PROFILE catalog in the DMSFONT.UNXPREFS entry. And these settings *do* override settings in any X resource files. I deleted this entry from the SASUSER.PROFILE catalog and everything is working as expected. Warren also pointed out that colors specified in the SASUSER.PROFILE also override other resources.

Thanks again,

Jim

-----------------------------------------

I should have specified that I'm running SASV6.12 on a UNIX platform.

Does anyone know where information is stored when you change fonts through the View/Change Font... pull down menus?

I tried to specify a font in the SAS file contained in the Xresource directory specified by the XAPPLRESDIR variable (using ResHelper), but the font previously selected through the pull down menus appears to override the setting placed in the Xresource file. I can't find where the 'View/Change Font...' information is stored.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions,

Jim
