Subject: Re: Jobs in San Francisco?

There are lots of jobs for SAS people in San Francisco. One good place to look would be the Bay Area SAS Users Group web page www.basas.com

Most of the SAS positions I've seen, in the Bay Area of elsewhere, require lots of data step/data management experience more than statistical analysis capabilities. Many employers tend to want people who can manage data, not run analyses, but there are exceptions.

If your friend is in the SF Bay area on Tuesday, Feb 10, 1998 he or she should plan to attend the Bay Area SAS user group meeting that afternoon. Details will be posted in early January on the BASAS web page. It is a good place to meet other SAS users and find out about potential positions.

Hope this helps
