PAYING ATTENTION TO CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

computing and information services, ADP Canada is experiencing continued
success and growth. We are looking for the following:
 
POSITION: Programmer Analyst (12 month contract)
GRADE: $40 - $45 an hour
REPORTS TO: Manager Technical Support
LOCATION: Payroll Technical Support, ADP Canada, Employer Services, Toronto
Canada
HOURS Monday to Friday, 8:00 am. to 5:00 pm.; overtime will be required
 
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Converting Bank of Nova Scotia payroll customers software to ADP Payroll
platform
- Multitasking a number of conversion project at different stages
- Transposing data elements from one platform to another
- Customising using C++ and Crystal
- Creating Databases using Paradox,
- Uploading and downloading from the board/gateway using IRMAWIN.
- Interpret file layouts presented in delimited text files
- Respond to end user requests while identifying layout formats in a variety
of different specifications i.e. HEX, EBCDIC and variable length formats
 
CRITICAL POSITION CRITERIA:
- Expert skills in SAS, C++, JCL, Paradox, IRMAWIN, and Crystal
- Expert PC user of advanced micro based applications
- Sound knowledge of  Hot Systems and computer systems -applications i.e.
TSO,CMS.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proven organisational skills
- Detail-oriented with sound analytical skills
- Good oral and written communications.
- Ability to work additional hours when required and when volume dictates
