Works ok for SAS 6.12 TS020 on WinNT.  Sunday = 1 -> Friday = 6.
I got following results with day = weekday(date);

26     26JAN98      2

28     28JAN98      4
29     29JAN98      5
30     30JAN98      6     (friday, according to my calendar)
31     31JAN98      7     saturday
32     01FEB98      1     sunday

34     03FEB98      3     (today is Tuesday, right?)
