Subject: different output for diff var list order
Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII

I was wondering if anyone has run into the problem of obtaining different output (diff S stress, diff R2, diff coefficients) for different orders of the variable list for the ALSCAL and the PROXIMITIES procedure. If so, why is this happening? I would think that the order of variables shouldn't affect the output at all.

Any suggestions or clarifications on this subject would be GREATLY appreciated.

THank you very much to anyone who responds to this query.
