This Leading HMO system has plans in 23 states and 6 million enrolled members. It is setting up a six person statistics group to support its clinical quality improvement function and staff. The organization is seeking a candidate with a Masters Degree in statistics, epidemiology, or related. The candidate will supervise 2 less experienced analysts and will provide timely, ad hoc analysis, population group analysis, clinical effectiveness and benchmarking studies. The candidate must have excellent SAS skills and experience with large data sets. This position offers the successful candidate an opportunity to work in a stable environment, to have major input regarding setting up a department, to work on a variety of clinical improvement projects, interact with many other healthcare professionals, and live in a high quality of life and low cost area.
