Subject: Hostedit: SAS Editor server not responding (Unix)
Content-Type: text/plain

This is one I ain't seen yet. I'm trying to set up host editing in SAS 6.12, Sun Solaris 5.5.1. I have the following in my autoexec.sas:

options editcmd= "/usr/openwin/bin/xterm -geom 80x48+5+5 -bg slateblue4 -fg yellow -e vi";

(Ok, so I'm picky about appearance).

This used to work. I have made several changes to paths and shell settings. I changed the SAS invocation to be NORSASUSER, possibly other options. None of this should matter.

Has anyone seen and resolved this before?

Thanks. -- Karsten M. Self (kself@visa.com) Trilogy Consulting

What part of "Gestalt" don't you understand?
