Subject: Magnificent Frigatebirds off Jekyll Island

Several birders at the Jekyll Island Banding Station saw a pair of frigatebirds over the water between the southeast end of Jekyll and the Lanier Bridge this (September 26) morning. They were quite distant when I saw them, but one appeared to be an adult male and the other an immature. I also saw a third frigatebird (probably an immature) briefly, safely separated from the other two.
