Subject: Multi Response Sets
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-7

For some unkown reason I get the following message when I use a Multi Response Set:

Text: $var1 Variable used in the TABLE subcommand does not exist in the working file or has not been declared on a variables subcommand. To declare it use one of the variable subcommands (OBSERVATION, MDGROUP, MRGROUP, FTOTAL or PTOTAL) or check the spelling.

This command not executed.

This occurs from the menu Statistics->Custom Tables->General Tables and from Multi Response Tables. Why is that? This is forcing me to Paste the command and add manually the MRGROUP command which is totally unacceptable and immensly time consuming. Does anybody know the solution?

On the other hand, the Statistics->Multi Response menu produces only text Crosstabs and not publication quality pivot tables, which is what I want. What can I do?
