One way to change tabs is to create the program in a word processor, then
paste it into the SAS editor window. It is not very interactive but gets the
job done. In fact I have written programs in word processing and saved them
as a text file, with a sas extension. They will open as SAS programs.

Subject: Changing indentation in program editor
I am running SAS 6.12 on a PC. How can I change the number of spaces
that the program editor uses to indent? It is currently set at 8, but I
prefer to indent 2-4 spaces when writing code. I've already looked in
the online help and the Procedures manual without success. Please tell
me it's possible--my swollen fingers and wrists are begging for
keystroke relief!
I've learned a bunch from lurking on this list. Thanks.
