Hi spssers

I ran a hierarchical regression with four IVs (two are dichotomous and two are continuous). I am testing for interactions so I entered the 2-way interactions at step 2 followed by three way interactions at step 3 etc.

I recently discovered from a stats professor that the beta weights are uninterpretable because the model in SPSS does not use Type 1 sums of squares. He has shown me how to do it in SAS. However, I would like to try it in SPSS. Any idea how to introduce type 1 sums of squares into the model. Thanks in advance. p.s. I am using SPSS 6.1 though have access to later versions.
