Hi All,

the online documentation in SPSS 7.5.1 says that a Fisher Exact Test is performed only for 2 x 2 tables. But in fact the test is performed for my 2x3 table, as well. My statistics textbooks tell me that Fisher Exact Test can only be used for 2x2 tables. Does a Fisher Exact Test exist for general r x c tables?

Thanks a lot in advance for improving my knowledge in statistics!

Best regards, Karsten
