I am resending this query one more time. Sorry to inconvenience any readers.

Speaking of CV, I need help on writing syntax (was away too long, what little I learned is now gone).

How do I write syntax to compute the CV. I can't figure out how to use the function in the Compute window. I have a data file of element variables: Na, Fe, K, and so on with the listed values of each case. How do I write a syntax to compute the CV for each element, saving me the time of hand calculating this equation: CV = 100 times SD/Mean (for each separate element)?

Thanks again!
