Yes, I have the same problem. HPUX and SunOS.

Not that I know of.
I'll add that the reappearance of the search dialog (virtually useless)
every time one returns to the "home" state of the help system (Index or
Contents, can't recall which) is _almost_ as annoying as Microsoft's
dancing paperclip.
SAS is moving to HTML based help in v7, accessed through a third-party
browser. Either the problem will go away or it will be replaced with a
more interesting variant of the same thing. This also likely means the
warts in the existing helplus-based Unix online help will remain.
