Having not had much time to play w/ v7 yet, I went to my OS/2 box just now and ran a quick 6.12 job that I had run yesterday off my NT 4.0 box. The job reads two small v608 (engine) files and references a permanent format in a particular permanent fmtlib *and* %inc's in another set of formats.
When I ran it the 1st time I forgot it was accessing the permanent fmtlib so I brought over my fmtlib.sas job to recreate the formats on the OS/2 box. That job bobmbed b/c it couldn't write out a v608 (engine) format lib?!? I removed the v608 from the libname library statement and the job ran fine. I next ran the main job and it read the v608 (engine) datasets just fine and put out the desired raw file fine as well.
Just a quick $0.02.
