Subject: (Black-bellied) Carolina Wren?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

We've got a strange-looking Carolina Wren in our yard. It's belly is black starting mid-chest level with a clean separation from the normal buffy color. The black starts in a slightly up-curved line and continues all the way down to the tail. Other than this color anomaly, the bird is a typical Thryothorus ludovicianus. It's been at our feeers about a month. Has anyone see this before?

Carol Lambert or Jeff Sewell Tucker (Atlanta), Georgia, USA
