Subject: Attribute based Multidimensional Scaling

I would like to know how can I make positioning map when I do not have direct similarity data. Respondents have to rate several objects on several attributes on the scale from 1 to 5. So, my data base consist of respondents * attribute * object matrix. I would like to combine attributes into dimensions (factors), and to position object in the factoral space, but I do not know how to do it. I have SPSS 7.5.2. version. Please if someone can help me, I would really appreciate it. e-mail: z_ristic@yahoo.com
