Apologies to the list--hit the send button a bit soon
My (inelegant, but it works, solution)
double clik to activate the table
Select the table (or CTRL-A)
Format>>Cell properties
Click on Values tab
Select All or Number from list on left
Select #.# from list on right (top entry)
Check the "Adjust format for cell width box" --CRUCIAL, make sure it is
Black on White, not grayed out
To accept SPSS default decimal places (I almost always do) leave the decimal
place spinner blank, or if you prefer to set your own number of decimals, do
so.
Works for me!
Good luck,
Max Martin
