Subject: Re: sas mode for emacs and command line for sas under win95

You may retrieve sas-mode.el from the SAS Institute download area. If you can't find it send me a note and I can send you my slightly modified version.

In terms of running SAS, I prefer to do it from the DIRED buffer. Simply create a BATCH file to run SAS with all the bells and whistles you desire. Then from DIRED do a M-! (run shell command) and supply you BATCH file name.

Since W95 is not an operating system like Unix, you may find that you have to set up some other variables to make everything behave correctly. Be sure to check out the FAQ that Geoff supports at the same site where you got the W32 version of Emacs.

Another alternative is use Windows Explore to launch the program. But why go in and out of Emacs?
