Jason Boland wrote re having trouble with the DDE triplet in the FILENAME statement. I have found that after copying the appropriate section of the EXCEL speadsheet to the clipboard that you can specify

FILENAME groo dde 'clipboard';

and SAS will input your data correctly without the "Physical File does not exist" error message that Jason encountered.
