Peter, from what I recall (which, as always, may be wrong!), rounding is the
default behaviour for 'value' formats - but (as you know!) as I discovered
to my cost recently (in an identical context to Barbara) the default for
'picture' formats is to truncate - so that's where the 'round' option is needed.
