Subject: Opening a SAS PC file
Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII
In SPSS 8.0 under WinNT I'm trying to read a SAS PC data file. The
GET SAS command fails with a comment about the file not having a SAS
Library Header. Opening the (binary) file in a text editor shows that it
starts
SAS 6.12.00 WIN_NT 4. 0 FSBTAX...
where FSBTAX is the file name, then goes into binary. I've never tried
reading a SAS file before; does anyone have a quick comment on whether
this should work, is a known bug, or if I'm just missing a simple point?
