Subject: logistic regression R^2
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Hello SPSSers

I have two questions about logistic regression (spss v8):

1) What information is provided by the Cox&Snell and Nagelkerke R^2 in the logistic regression output?

2) How is the Hosmer-Lemeshow statistic affected by sample size? I've noticed that if I 'randomly' reduce the number of samples (e.g. from 500 to 150) the test significance increases without significantly changing other results.

TIA Pauline
