How do I change the owner or editor of my list? Or add additional owners or editors?

Owner changes are made by updating the list's headers under Manage Lists/Edit List Configuration rather than via listserv commands.

The headers affecting list ownership/editorship are:

Owner= userid@node.net (firstname lastname)
Editor= userid@node.net (firstname lastname)

You may have more than one Owner= and Editor= for your list.

The position of owner and editor keywords in the list header is important. The first-listed Owner is considered the primary owner, and receives messages, such as error reports, from Listserv about the list. The first listed Editor receives postings for moderation on an edited list. Other owners and editors still may add and delete subscribers, and post to post-by-owner lists.
If you'd like co-owners/editors to have these privileges but not receive any error messages or notifications from Listserv, list them after a

Owner= quiet: keyword. For example: Owner= userid@node.net (Primary-owner Name)
Owner= quiet:
Owner= userid2@node.net (Co-owner Name)

See the FAQ "How do I change the header settings of my list?" for more information on updating list headers.
