Unsubscribing from a Listserv Discussion ListYou can either remove yourself permanently from a LISTSERV list or you can temporarily suspend mail from a LISTSERV list. In either case, you need to first log onto the system you used to subscribe to the list.To permanently remove yourself from a list, send mail to LISTSERV at the nodeid of the list with the following one line as the body of the mail: signoff listname The "listname" is the name of the list from which you wish to be removed. To temporarily suspend mail from a list, send mail to LISTSERV at the nodeid of the list with the following one line as the body of the mail: set listname nomail To resume mail, send the same one-line message and change "nomail" to "mail". Examples (fictitious list and nodeid): If the name of the list is: money-l and the nodeid is: dolu.cc.cac.edu You would permanently remove yourself from this list by sending mail to: listserv@dolu.cc.cac.edu with the following one line in the body of the mail: signoff money-l To temporarily suspend mail from this list, you would send mail to the same address and include the following one line in the body of the mail: set money-l nomail | |
