Subject: RE: Canadian border photo images (fwd)

Dear Mark,

I've been out-of-town and only now read your e-mail to Maps-L.

Since there are not really so many sheets, this is what I did: I took the
New York and New Hampshire/Vermont "green cover" Index to topographic and
other map coverage MAP (not booklet). I photocopied the top portions of
each covering the area from Massena to Canaan. The names of the sheets are
in the quadrangles. I trimmed the sheets and taped the two pieces together.
(You can photocopy this on one sheet now, if you want.) Then, using a red
pencil, I drew in the northern boundary because it was a little farther
north than the northern latitude of the normal quadrangle sheets.

I then marked the sheets we had with a diagonal line.

I hope this is helpful. Jennie

Brown University's copy covers the border from Massena, NY to Canaan, VT in
24 sheets, with no index. Catalog records from OCLC and RLIN don't mention
an index, so my guess is than one was never issued.
