Greetings

This week at the University of Florida Map & Imagery Library, we were able
to upgrade some of our PC's. I was fortunate to receive a vastly improved
computer. Unfortunately during the upgrade, almost the entire month of my
current email was deleted. It can not be retrieved and I am seeking help
from those who have corresponded with me during this time. The time period
for which the messages were lost was: after 2:00 PM April 12th to 4:00 PM
May 9th (All times Eastern Daylight Savings Time)

Please excuse me for using the ListSer for this purpose but it involves many
messages generated by my requests to MAPS-L plus a number of map reference
questions from MAPS-L members.

For those who replied to my request for lost pages of the Library of
Congress book "Language of the Land", I would like to thank you but do not
have your names. Please except my gratitude.

The second question involved the Rand McNally Commercial Atlases. I had
received some informative messages which I was going to summarize for the
ListSer. If those individuals still have their messages and could send them
to me, it would be most helpful. I am asking Johnnie Sutherland to send me
all of the MAPS-L messages for this time period so I do not need copies of
those messages.

For those who had asked for maps or had sent reference questions, if you
will resend the message I will answer as soon as possible.

Finally anyone who has send me personal mail during this time or forwarded
announcements, would you be so kind as to resend the mail?

Thank you to the LISTSER for your indulgence. May you never experience what
has happened to me in the last three days.

Helen
