To the map library community:


It is with deep sadness that I report to you the death of Mark
Crotteau, catalog librarian at Boise State University. Mark died on
July 26 after a one-year battle with cancer.


Mark was very active in the Map and Geography Round Table of ALA,
having recently been elected treasurer.  For the past several years
Mark also served as the cataloging editor of <italic>base
line</italic>.


Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife, Eva, his three children,
and his family.
