Subject: Sierra Railroad in California: Query from Sweden

Hello, all:

The following query came my way via our Digitization Center, and I'd
imagine a California library would be better able to answer. The
following is a composite of two emails with the details. You can
respond to him directly at: [log in to unmask]

Thanks...

Dear Map Fellows,

I'm looking for maps covering cities along the Sierra Railway in
California but don't know wether it is posssible to get them through
your website. The places of interest are Oakdale, Jamestown, Sonora,
Tuolumne, Angels Camp and Columbia. I would appreciate very much if you
could give me a helping hand finding the right documents. Looking
forward to your reply.

As I understand, in some cases there have been several maps produced at
different times, such in the case of Angels Camp, CA. Since my interest
is in the Sierra Railway, I'm looking for maps (sheets) especially
covering the railroad yards but of course the entire community is also
of interest. The maps from 1905 - 6 sheets, California State University,
Northridge University of CA, Berkely (microform), Library of congress
and the maps from 1922 (? sheets) California State University,
Northridge, are of special interest to me. I would like to buy paper
copies (or digital if possible) of the objects above, but please give me
an indication of the cost first.

Sincerely,

Mats Berglund
